Global Embedded technology leader seeks an hands-on engineering professional with customer-facing experience for a Product Management role.  An ideal candidate is someone who can drive the development and management of the company's products, product services, and create and drive a compelling product road map keeping a holistic view of the market and competition. This includes implementation of go-to-market plans for all new product releases coordinating across all functional areas to drive the strategic vision into a reality.  Relocation assistance is available.
  • Identifies unmet market needs and opportunities for strategic new products and services that will increase gross margins, unit placements, and revenue
  • Acts as voice of the customer understanding customer needs, researching customer uses and requirements for our product portfolio
  • Works closely with Marketing, Sales and Engineering
  • Works closely with customers to test products, gather feedback, report back, and works with Engineering to refine the product accordingly and deliver on experience that exceeds customer expectations
  • Specify market requirements for future releases by conducting market research via ongoing customer and prospect interviews
  • Maintains market knowledge and awareness of trends, requirements, competitors and market growth, buying trends/criteria and use/applications
  • Communicates regularly to all departments and participates in department, company and management team meetings as required
  • Work closely with the software development teams to establish development timelines, prioritize daily progression of technical development analysis and QA
  • Maintains files, presentations, schedules, and documentation for all responsibilities
  • Strong understanding and experience with C/C++ and Python
  • Experience with systems requirement management tools (DOORS, etc)
  • Experience with DevOps testing tools (Jenkins, CppUnit, Google test, etc)
  • Understanding of industry safety-critical standards for medical device, avionics, automotive, etc.
  • Has worked with development teams so understands customer base
  • Knowledge of software systems, software testing and software development a plus
  • Strong organizational and project management skills required
  • Good people skills and team player attitude a must
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent education and work experience) in Computer Science or related discipline
Preferred Experience
  • Customer-face technical experience is preferred (e.g. Field Applications Engineer, Sales Engineer, etc)
